Take a day trip

Hello! I'm Emily. I'm 7 and here is what my day at The White Orchid looks like!
We give children real ownership to lead, make decisions, and shape their own journey.
Silly face time!

Naomi!
Age: 8
During the school holidays, Naomi helps make her own spaghetti with guidance from our educators, cutting and prepping the ingredients herself before it all comes together.
From stirring to serving, she takes pride in preparing her meal. And when she's done, she washes up her own dishes too. These simple, hands-on routines are where independence and confidence quietly take root.
Sluuuuuurp!
James!
Age: 8
Between 2:45pm and 4:00pm, James works through his school homework alongside his peers, with our educators close by to guide, clarify, and coach - not just to get it done, but to make sure she truly understands.
When he's finished, James doesn't simply wait. He turns to the younger children around him, helping to explain, encourage, and work through problems together. In teaching others, he deepens his own understanding too.

Mia!
Age: 7
At 4.15pm on Wednesdays, Mia discovers new interests during our Weekly Discovery session. She might try her hand at chess, pick up a paintbrush, or find her rhythm in a dance class, exploring something different every week, without any pressure.
On other days, she chooses to go deeper into an interest she loves, spending focused time building skills, practising, and learning alongside friends. Whether she's discovering something new or diving into something familiar, this hour is designed to help Mia move, explore, and grow with confidence.
